State Port Year Project Present Status West Bengal Kolkata Port 2009-10 1. Mechanisation at HDC berth No. 2 2. Mechanisation at HDC berth No. 8 M/s Haldia Bulk Terminals Pvt. Ltd (HBT) was engaged as the handling contractor for integrated operation at Berth Nos. 2 & 8 of Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) and terminated the agreement unilaterally on 31.10.2012. As per the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on 31.01.2013, the matter is pending for a final hearing in the Hon’ble High Court of Calcutta. Odisha Paradip Port 2009-10 1. Construction of Deep Draft Iron Ore Berth Concession Agreement was signed with M/s Blue Water Iron Ore Terminal Pvt. Ltd on 01.07.2009. BWIOTL has not completed the Financial Closure & other formalities, PPT is taking legal opinion on the course of action to be adopted. 2. Construction of Deep Draft Coal Berth Consession Agreement has been signed with Essar Paradip Terminal Ltd. on 10.11.2009. Project site could not be handed over the concessionaire due to stay by Hon’ble Supreme Court. 3. Mechanization of Central Quay-III Berth The work has been completed in September 2012. 2010-11 1. Multi-purpose Berth at Paradip to Handle Clean Cargo including Conatiners Letter of award was issued to Consortium of Sterlite – Leighton . Concession agreement was not signed. In the mean time, the selected bidder have communicated that they are not inclined to proceed with the project and have sought legal remedy from the Hon’ble High Court of Odisha. Andhra Pradesh Visakhapatnam Port Trust 2009-10 1. Development of Western Quay (WQ-6) in the northern arm of Inner harbour of VPT for handling Dry bulk cargo Concession agreement was signed on 31.07.2010. Physical progress is 52% 2. Development of EQ-10 berth in Inner Harbour for handling liquid cargo Concession agreement was signed on 16.08.2010. Physical progress is 82%. 3. Mechanised Coal handling facilities at General cum Cargo Berth (GCB) in the Outer Harbour Concession agreement was signed on 10.06.2010. Physical progress is 99.61%. 2010-11 1. Development of EQ-1 by replacement of Equity EQ-1 and Part of EQ-2 in Inner Harbour to Handle Steam Coal Concession agreement was signed on 01.08.2011. Physical progress is 36%. 2. Development of EQ-1A on South Side of EQ-1 for handling Thermal Coal and Steam Coal in the inner harbour Concession agreement was signed on 03.02.2012. Physical progress is 6.5%. 2011-12 1. Development of EQ-7 for mechanised handling facilities Concession Agreement was signed on 18.05.2012. Financial closure achieved and work to start shortly. Tamil Nadu VOC Port 2009-10 1. Construction of Coal Berth at NBW for NLC-TNEB Work completed on 25.07.2012. Berth handed over to NTPL for installation of their conveyors and shore unloaders. 2010-11 1. Construction of North Cargo Berth-II Concession Agreement was signed with M/s ABG-LDA Bulk Handling Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai on 11.09.2010. Physical progress is 45%. Ennore Port 2010-11 1. Development of Conatiner Terminal Concession Agreement was signed on 13.08.2010. Due to non-achieving of financial closure by the concessionaire, the concession agreement was terminated on 28.09.2012 and bid security amount of Rs.14 crores was encashed. Karnataka New Mangalore Port 2009-10 1. Setting up of Mechanised Iron Ore handling facilities at Berth No.-14 Concession agreement was signed with M/s SICAL Logistics Limited, Chennai on 19.10.2009. Work delayed due to ban imposed on export of iron ore by Karnataka government. The concessionaire has requested for performance excuse under Force Majeure clause. Negotiation were held as per article No. 14.10 for amicable settlement but not successful. The board in its meeting on 08.03.2013 has resolved to give an opportunity to M/s SICAL. Goa Mormugao Port 2009-10 1. Development of Coal Handling Terminal at Berth No. -7 Concession Agreement was signed on 22.09.2009 with M/s Adani Murmugao Port Terminal Pvt. Ltd, Ahmadabad. As on 28.02.2013, the physical progress of the overall project is 72.10%. Maharashtra Mumbai Port 2009-10 1. Construction of Offshore Container Berths and Development of terminal on BOT basis at Mumbai Harbour License Agreement was signed with Indira Container Terminal Pvt. Ltd. on 03.12.2007. The project is expected to be commissioned in March, 2014. Jawaharlal Nehru Port 2011-12 1. 4th Container Terminal at JNPT Letter of award for the project- ‘Development of 4th Container Terminal at JNPT’ – was issued to the successful bidder PSA led consortium on 26.09.2011. However, the consortium avoided signing of the concession agreement on one or the other pretext. Ultimately, JNPT was forced to withdraw the Letter of Award on 16.10.2012. Gujarat Kandla Port 2009-10 1. Development of 13th Berth other than liquid and container cargo berth Concession Agreement was signed with RAS Infraport Pvt. Ltd. Work has been completed. Commercial operation phase of Project has been started from 01.02.2013. 2010-11 1. Development of 15th multipurpose cargo berth Concession Agreement has been signed with M/s IMC Ltd.. Award of concession has been declared on 27.09.2011. 2. Deveopment of 16th multipurpose cargo berth Concession Agreement has been signed with M/s PSL on 18.02.2011. 3. Setting up of Captive Barge Jetty at Old Kandla (IFFCO) Concession Agreement has been signed with M/s IFFCO Kissan Bazzar and Logistics Ltd. on 17.02.2011. 2011-12 1. Development of Dry Bulk Terminal at Tuna-Tekkera at Kandla Port Concession Agreement has been signed with M/s Adani Kandla Bulk Terminal Pvt. Ltd. on 27.06.2012
