Puducherry Chief Minister V. Vaithilingam said his government would take steps to install the statue by November 1.
Union Minister of State for Parliament Affairs V. Narayanasamy said his government was ready for a debate on price rise as demanded by the Opposition.
He said Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee would hold talks with the Opposition on the issue and it was for the Speaker of the Lok Sabha to decide the nature of the debate.
